PRAGUE, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- About 30 people were injured after a bus carrying students overturned in the Moravian-Silesian region of northeastern Czech Republic on Monday, police and rescuers said.
The accident happened in the morning in Stare Hamry. The bus, heading to a ski resort, veered off the road, hit an electric power pole and overturned on its side. Police said a technical malfunction may have been a possible cause.
Regional fire rescue officials said all 32 students on the bus were injured. A spokesman for the regional medical rescue service told Czech News Agency that the injuries were minor to moderate and no lives were at risk. Four of the injured have been transported to hospital so far. ■
